Arrangements by Kenyon Hopkins
Capitol EAP 1-983, 2-983 and 3-983

Impressed by Kenyon Hopkins' musical score for Elia Kazan's 1956 movie BABY DOLL, pianist, arranger & composer Joe Bushkin contacted Hopkins [THE HUSTLER, 12 ANGRY MEN, THE STRANGE ONE] to co-produce this instrumental jazz project.

This 3-record set of 45's is an unusual alternative to the standard LP. Maybe Capitol didn't want it to become general knowledge among the record-buying public BUT the wider grooves of 45's produce a richer sound than LP's, as comparative listenings of the same song in both formats will attest.

love me or leave go to my head...they all laughed...the lady is a tramp...but not for me...fools rush in...they can't take that away from sundown...there's a small hotel...while we're young...a foggy day...who cares

Vinyl on all three 45's are NEAR MINT. The LP-quality cardboard jackets are in VG+ condition; 2" top seam splits on Volumes 1 & 3.
