MINT: A sealed, unopened record.

NM: Record has been opened and appears perfect.  Cover is like new, may have original shrinkwrap. Record is spotless, no flaws, full original lustre.

NM-: Cover may have a trace of ringwear, small crease or other inconsequential flaws, such as a miniscule corner dent. Record may have one or two small surface scratches or light scuffs that do not affect play in any way.

VG++: Cover may have light ringwear, one or two small cover creases. One or two corners may have tiny dents.  It may be a NM cover with tiny punch hole or light sawcut. It still looks almost new and appears fresh. Record may have two or more light surface scratches or light surface scuffs from sliding in and out of sleeve.  Other tiny faults present but appears clean with original lustre. In no way do faults affect play.

VG+: Cover has several imperfections, maybe a sawcut or a punch hole, light to medium ringwear, light scuff or small stain. There may be a partially split or clear-taped repaired seam. Record has several visual imperfections on each side, light surface scratches, possibly surface scuffs. Still, these faults do not affect play, no background noise.

VG: Cover may have medium to heavy ringwear, soiling or writing, sawcut or punch hole, split seams repaired with clear tape. Record has visual faults, and may have a few audible imperfections. However, the record should play through without skipping.

G/VG: Cover has seen better days, may have split seams, heavy tape on one or more sides, medium to heavy ringwear. Record has been well played, lots of scratches and/or scuffs, and will have background noise. It should not skip anywhere.

G: This is a space filler until a better one comes along. Not recommended.
