The Golden Age of UNDERGROUND RADIO
Featuring B. MITCHEL REED on KMET (1968-1971)
DCC Compact Disc

B. Mitchel Reed had been one of the best Top 40 jocks ever, in Los Angeles at KFWB and at WMCA in New York at the peak of Beatlemania.

Reed recognized the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 was the indicator for the future of "album oriented" FM rock radio. He moved to KMET in Los Angeles where he (along with Tom Donahue at San Francisco's KSAN) developed the "underground" radio format, taking FM rock to new highs...This CD recreates a typical KMET broadcast using the original airchecks.

All songs are complete, uncut and in digital stereo.
